Dutch Interior – Fourth Street
Los Angeles indie/alt band Dutch Interior kicks off 2025 with “Fourth Street,” the first single from their upcoming album Moneybag—their debut for Fat Possum Records. Written during a six-month stretch at their Long Beach studio, the album features production by the band’s own Conner Reeves and mixing by Phil Ek (known for his work with Modest Mouse and Fleet Foxes). With its release slated for March, Moneybag is already shaping up to be one to watch.
Dutch Interior’s raw, DIY approach extends to the song’s self-directed video, which delves into the fragile beauty of childhood memories and their inevitable erosion. The band invites viewers to witness how we nostalgically hold on to the past, even as its innocence slips away. This thoughtful intersection of storytelling and instrumentation is bound to resonate deeply.
“Fourth Street” proves that simplicity, when paired with heartfelt intention, can leave a lasting impact. The jangly melodies and cathartic close create a poignant mix of longing and liberation—classic Dutch Interior.
